The April 2014 issue of the Federal Bar Association’s magazine The Federal Lawyer features Christine Poarch’s article entitled “The FBA’s Proposal for the Creation of a Federal Immigration Court.”
In the article, Christine discusses the FBA’s proposal to Congress to create an Article I Immigration Court. If adopted, the proposal would replace the current administrative-model of immigration court practice with a court system akin to other Article I courts, such as U.S. bankruptcy courts. The proposal could potentially increase case management efficiency while removing overlapping administrative procedures currently in place.
