Her career, which began at Poarch Thompson Law, involves primary and important work with asylum applicants, juveniles, and individuals who are victims of crimes.

Jaime is an active member of the Federal Bar Association, Immigration Law Section and Younger Lawyer’s Division. Through a process that takes into account peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other factors, she was selected as a Rising Star in Immigration Law for 2019. Jaime is also a member of the Virginia State Bar, American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.

Jaime’s commitment to immigration law and advocacy stems from the lessons she learned during her time volunteering with children in a Ugandan orphanage and her experience working on a project in Thailand regarding human trafficking. She is passionate about being a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.

Born in California, Jaime spent many of her formative years in Roanoke before her family moved back West to Nevada.  She returned to Virginia to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg. After graduating with her JD from Liberty University School of Law Jaime began her career as an immigration attorney with Poarch Thompson Law.

In her free time, she enjoys dancing, singing, running, spending time with friends and family, attending church, and playing with her rat terrier Tucker. Jaime currently lives in Vinton with her husband, Seth.
